Game one - April 11, 2010
RSSC Blasters vs Blackwatch Heather 95.
The Blasters defeat Blackwatch Heather 3-2 in overtime. It was a good game with the Blasters missing on several scoring chances through out the game. Weather was a factor even with the sun shining, the wind was a big factor in the game. It was hard to control the ball with 20+ MPH winds at times, but the girls fought til the end and finally put the tying goal in with about 7 minutes left in the game. In overtime the Blasters took a 3-1 lead until the last minute where Blackwatch kicks a ball into the wind from mid field and it bounces into the goal. Great job to our defenders as they played just about the whole game. Goals scored by #18 Jenn Deuel, #16 Brie Heitz and #6 Ashley Williams. Great game girls and that is the way to never quit playing. We head to Broadadlin NY(Amsterdam NY) to face the Albany Alleycat Ocelots on Sunday April 25th at 4PM.
