The Blasters U16 Girls kicked off their 2011 Thruway league. It was a strong start against a good Rochester FC team. The game was played in Utica at Proctor High School Stadium on a nice sunny after noon. The Blasters won the game 3-1 while missing several scoring oppourtunities. The team played great defense and found alot of attacking in their return to the teams old formation. Great defense played by #10 E. Ward, #15 K. O'Brien, and #4 M. Pastorelli. The offense was led by #6 A. Williams with 3 goals and assisted by #10 E. Ward(1), and #12 P. Sullivan(2). The offense had several chances and a couple balls off the crossbar by #21 J. Case and #18 J. Deuel. A great start and now the team gets ready for our game in Buffalo Saturday May 14th at 11am .
